Material superior: Ante
El ante es un «cuero áspero» con superficie lijada y raspada. El ante posee una superficie suave y aterciopelada que proporciona una sensación muy agradable en contacto con la piel. Además, cuenta con gran capacidad para la absorción de humedad. El ante natural es más suave y flexible que la piel lisa y no presenta la misma estabilidad. Además, su estabilidad cambia dependiendo de la piel de cada persona. No se trata de un defecto de material o fabricación.
Suela interna: Capa superior de la plantilla de piel
Revestimiento de piel, flexible e inocuo para la piel, que acoge el pie adoptando su forma y plegándose a su perfil. La superficie del revestimiento tiene estructura alveolar, lo que la hace especialmente transpirable, y de este modo hace posible un agradable ambiente en el interior del calzado incluso con actividad física intensa.
Material de la base interior: Corcho
El corcho es una materia prima regenerable que se extrae de la corteza del alcornoque. Es un producto natural aislante del calor y cuenta con excelentes propiedades de amortiguación.

Upper material: Suede
Suede is a split leather with a napped finish. It has a velvety surface and is very soft to the touch. It also boasts a high moisture absorption capacity. Suede is softer and more flexible by nature and does not have the same stability as smooth leather. The stability of suede also varies from hide to hide. This does not constitute a material or production defect.
Insole: Natural leather
Natural leather can be recognized by its untreated surface. BIRKENSTOCK purposely does not treat surface grains and other characteristic features. BIRKENSTOCK uses sturdy leather with a thickness of 2.8 to 3.2 millimeters as upper material.
Footbed material: Cork
Cork is a sustainable material extracted from the bark layer of the cork oak. This natural product is insulating and offers very good cushioning.
